A brief intro to this Substack
Travis Seppala substack screenwriting action!
So what is this substack?
If you don’t know who I am…
My name is Travis Seppala. And I’m a screenwriter.
“Have you written anything I’ve seen?”
Well… maybe?
I wrote the vampire movie CAPTIVE which is a Tubi original.
I wrote the horror flick ELEVATOR GAME which is a Shudder original and the DVD is even available for purchase.
I wrote a screenwriting book called “365: A Year of Screenwriting Tips” which is available as both a paperback and ebook on Amazon.
There’s something like 3 hours of footage of me being interviewed, answering a variety of questions, on the Film Courage Youtube channel.
I wrote the aminated short film DESERT RACERS which has screened at film festivals worldwide.
I wrote the short film BUNKER which has also played at film festivals around the world.
I’ve also written a bunch of other short films with global screenings and a couple feature films that I didn’t get writing credit on (but hey, I still got paid!).
So now that you know a little about me, what’s this substack gonna be?
Screenwriting advise.
How-to articles about screenwriting.
Personal stories from my experiences as a screenwriter.
Anything you (the readers) want me to write articles about.
Basically, mostly screenwriting educational stuff with a little bit of personal anecdotes thrown into the mix. Maybe some movie reviews too if y’all are interested in my tastes in things.
FULL DISCLOSURE: I’m still trying to figure out how I might use this platform to make a little extra cash. From my experience reading other substacks, I know there’s paywalls, and I think there’s like a “buy me coffee” option? If you would like to make suggestions of what you’d pay for my advise from my time (so far) in the industry and with the craft of screenwriting, please let me know. I see people charging all over the place from like $2/month to $20/month or more.
Hope you’ll come read my posts, and if you like the stuff I write about please share with other people who might like it too!

Welcome Travis!
You're one of the best guys out there.
